Mixed - some data on-device, some in cloud
This robot uses a hybrid approach where some data is processed locally on the device and some is sent to cloud servers. The level of EU data protection depends on what data stays local versus what is transmitted. Sensitive data like camera feeds may be processed on-device while usage analytics go to the cloud. Review the manufacturer's privacy policy for specifics on what data goes where.
How to keep it private
Real-time inference runs on-device via dual NVIDIA Jetson (AGX Orin + Orin NX). Core locomotion, navigation, and manipulation operate locally. Cloud connectivity may be used for fleet-wide learning and software updates but is not required for basic autonomous operation.
Available privacy controls
Industrial safety standard compliance that includes operational safeguards
Apollo operates within enterprise networks where the customer controls network security and data policies
Apollo is enterprise-only, deployed in controlled factory environments (Mercedes-Benz, GXO Logistics, Jabil). No public details exist on telemetry or cloud data practices. Define data handling, retention, and network access policies in your enterprise agreement with Apptronik. On-device NVIDIA Jetson compute means core processing stays local.
What this means for EU residents
On-device NVIDIA Jetson compute for real-time inference. Enterprise deployments with Mercedes and other partners. No public details on cloud data handling.
