AI, Data & Privacy
Mixed - some data on-device, some in cloud
This robot uses a hybrid approach where some data is processed locally on the device and some is sent to cloud servers. The level of EU data protection depends on what data stays local versus what is transmitted. Sensitive data like camera feeds may be processed on-device while usage analytics go to the cloud. Review the manufacturer's privacy policy for specifics on what data goes where.
How to keep it private
The EcoFlow Blade does not need internet while mowing after initial setup. Once the virtual boundary map is created via the app, scheduled mowing tasks run autonomously without Wi-Fi. However, initial boundary mapping requires app connectivity, and real-time status monitoring needs internet. The built-in 4G eSIM continuously reports location for anti-theft.
Available privacy controls
Once boundaries are mapped, the mower operates autonomously without needing continuous internet

Auto-locks if removed from designated yard, with remote disable by EcoFlow service team
The built-in 4G eSIM continuously transmits location data for anti-theft purposes, which is the main privacy consideration. After initial boundary setup, the mower operates offline for mowing. Contact [email protected] to request a copy of your data or deletion. There is no way to fully disable the 4G module without potentially voiding the anti-theft feature.
What this means for EU residents
Built-in 4G eSIM and GPS module report real-time location to EcoFlow app. If the mower detects it is not in the designated yard, it auto-locks. EcoFlow service team can disable the unit remotely. No public details on server locations or data policies.
