The world's most famous robot - first to receive citizenship
Sophia is the world's most recognized social humanoid robot, activated on February 14, 2016 by Hanson Robotics in Hong Kong. She became the first robot in history to receive citizenship from any country when Saudi Arabia granted her honorary citizenship in October 2017. She has addressed the United Nations, appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and served as the first robot Innovation Champion for the UNDP. Sophia can mimic over 62 facial expressions and engage in real-time conversation using a hybrid of scripted dialogue and neural language processing.
