Strong - all data stays on the device
This robot processes and stores all data locally on the device itself. No personal data leaves the hardware, which provides the strongest level of data protection for EU residents under GDPR. There is no cross-border data transfer risk.
How to keep it private
Eilik works fully without Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or internet for all core features including emotional reactions, touch interactions, idle animations, and built-in games. The optional AI Station accessory adds camera and chat features that require Wi-Fi connectivity. The base Eilik robot is completely standalone.

Eilik is one of the most privacy-friendly robots available because it works entirely offline by default with no cameras, no microphones, and no internet connection required. If you add the optional AI Station accessory, be aware it introduces a camera, Wi-Fi connectivity, and cloud-based chat features. For maximum privacy, use Eilik without the AI Station. Firmware updates require a brief computer connection but the robot otherwise collects no data.
