SL 6: Interactive Based on: Ai-Da

Ai-Da is the world's first ultra-realistic humanoid robot artist, completed in 2019. She draws, paints, and sculpts using cameras in her eyes, AI algorithms, and a robotic arm. Conceived by Oxford gallerist Aidan Meller with engineering by Engineered Arts, Ai-Da has exhibited at the Tate Modern, V&A, Design Museum, Barbican, the Giza Pyramids, and the United Nations. Her portrait of Alan Turing titled "A.I. God" sold at Sotheby's for over $1 million in October 2024, making it the first robot artwork sold at a major auction house. In 2022, she testified before the UK House of Lords, telling them: "I do not have subjective experiences despite being able to talk about them."
